CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Fun with Folds

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the CTMH Technique Blog HOP!

Featuring: FUN WITH FOLDS!!

If you arrived here from Haley's Blog
you are on the right track!

Our challenge was to use folds in creating a project. I wasn't sure what I was going to create. So, I did a search on Pinterest for Fun Folds and found a 3 fold card.

The three fold design created a wonderful wedding card
using Close to My Heart Hello Lovely papers.
The belly band round the outside of the card adds the finishing touch.

Here's a look at the inside of the card.

I love the way this card came together!!

Cutting dimensions for the card base: 5.5 by 12 inch base
Score along the 12 inch side at 4 1/4, 7 1/4, and 10 1/4
Cover each panel as desired. I used a mix of the Hello Lovely papers to add variety and interest. Then embellish to coordinate with your desired paper choice.

Technique Blog Hop - Resisting Can Be Fun!

Welcome to the CTMH Technique Blog HOP!

Featuring: Resisting Can Be Fun!

This month we will showcase the Resist Embossing technique!
It really is a lot of fun and the result is beautiful.

If you arrived here from Cathy's Blog
you are on the right track!

I have been using our Regatta paper pack to create this month, and decided to use the leftovers to create a birthday card. The rose background is leftover from the Regatta kit. So love that Pomegranate red! The blue strip is the piece I embossed. I must confess....that I am unsure if this is a resist technique. (LOL. I think I was the only one resisting.)

I used the Botanical Background Stamp set (D1645) to stamp and emboss the leaf pattern.
Happy Birthday was stamped with CTMH Pomegranate ink and popped up to add dimension. This is a simple card, and was fast and easy to create.

If you are new to embossing or "resist embossing" give it a try!

Stampers with An Attitude October Blog Hop - Focus - Sangria Artwork

October Stampers with AN Attitude Blog HOP
Focus: Sangria Paper

Our challenge this month was to feature projects created with the Sangria Paper.

If you have arrived here from Denise Elliott's Blog you are on the right path. If this is your first blog hop, it's a circular path featuring a variety of CTMH artwork! Just follow along by clicking on the links within the post

SANGRIA! The colors in this paper are just gorgeous!
Yes, they are fall-ish....but I thought they looked tropical! So, I was inspired to create a layout using a photo from our recent trip to Hawaii! The colors from the photo and Sangria paired nicely together.

I used a layout design from Jeanette Lynton's Cherish called "A New Persepective" . I love how this layout turned out! We loved our time in Hawaii! This is a nice way to capture that memory! The photo below doesn't do the layout justice! It doesn't show the details of the pretty paper.  LOL. That's my opinion.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Call for BACK-UP

Welcome to the CTMH Technique Blog HOP!

Featuring: Call for BACK UP!
featured on page 80 of the
Close to My Idea 2014 Annual Inspirations Idea Book

If you arrived here from Tonya's Blog
you are on the right track!
Back Up...
Who doesn't need a little back up
...even in paper crafting?

The technique in the Annual CTMH Book demonstrates using our chevron punch. Well, I don't have the chevron punch! SHHHH..no grasping! So, I improvised and used one of our wonderful Cricut cartridges.

The idea behind this technique is to use a punch or cut out to create a design and then to back the cut out  or negative space with fabulous paper for a unique look.

I used the Cricut Artfully Sent Cartridge to cut a 5 x &  "Thinking of You" card from our beautiful Blossoms Paper. Then I used a piece of solid Lagoon cardstock to "back-up" and fill the words in "Thinking of You". I like the contrast between the lagoon and Blossom's paper. I completed the card by adding a few embellishments and stamping the sentiments on the inside.
